Make a difference to individuals and couples
Interested in making a difference in your local community?
Our volunteer counsellors provide free or low-cost mental health services to those in our community who need them most.
As a volunteer counsellor, you’ll operate from a trauma-informed model of care and utilise a person-centred approach to help your clients.

How are counselling volunteers supported?
We ensure our volunteer counsellors are appropriately supported to process the content of their counselling sessions with Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli. To do this, we offer:
- Access to an on-site psychologist for mentoring, debriefing and supervision support
- Monthly group supervision led by a PACFA-approved supervisor
- Professional Development opportunities
- A culture where counselling volunteers are valued and celebrated
