Who can volunteer?

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds who are compassionate, reliable and keen to connect. To volunteer, you must be:

  • Aged 18 years or over
  • Willing to complete a Police Check (At no cost)
  • Able to commit to regular visits
  • Have a genuine interest in building a connection with an older person

What does volunteering involve?

When you join the Aged Care Companion Program, you’ll commit to:

  • A one-hour visit every fortnight for a minimum of 12 months
  • A 30-minute online training module

  • Going for a short walk or participating in activities together
