Make a real difference through connection

To be an Aged Care Companion is a meaningful way to support older people in your local community living in aged care homes who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation.

By simply sharing your time, you can build a genuine connection and bring companionship, conversation and joy to someone who needs it most.

What is the aged care companion program?

Our aged care companion program is funded through the Australian government’s aged care volunteer visitor scheme (ACVVS).

This volunteer program connects volunteer companions with older people living in residential aged care facilities, helping them stay connected to their community and reduce feelings of isolation.

At Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli, we match volunteer companions with residents in aged care facilities across our region to create meaningful, ongoing friendships.
