Ways you can volunteer
Phone crisis supporter
As a Lifeline Telephone Crisis Supporter, you’ll work from our Balgowlah Crisis Support Centre to provide compassionate one-on-one crisis support to people in emotional distress.
Aged care companion volunteer
Help reduce loneliness and isolation for people living in residential aged care facilities across the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore. Provide companionship, conversation, and genuine connection to someone who needs it with a regular, fortnightly visit.
Event volunteer
Help make our community presence possible by supporting our fundraising and awareness events. Whether you’re an event planner, logistics guru, or prefer to provide on-the-day support, you’ll be helping us raise funds to keep our services running.
Retail volunteer
Got an eye for fashion and homewares? A volunteer role in one of our Lifeline shops provides the perfect opportunity to meet new people, learn retail skills and have fun while supporting your local community.
Book depot volunteer
Help make the Lifeline book fair magic happen by joining the friendly behind-the-scenes team at our Brookvale Book Depot. Sort and prepare donated books, puzzles, and games—all while forming connections with like-minded locals.
Book fair volunteer
Bring our beloved book fair to life. Help set up or pack down, replenish book tables, or help customers at these lively community events. Every book sold helps fund our crisis support and local suicide prevention services.
